Free, accurate UK salary calculators — no catches
SalaryCalculator.org.uk exists for one reason: to give every UK worker a clear, accurate answer to the question "how much do I actually take home?" No sign-up, no subscription, no adverts, and no personal data collected.
Our mission
Understanding your pay should not require a spreadsheet or an accountant. Yet for millions of UK workers, questions like "what will I actually receive if I take this job?", "is my pay rise keeping up with inflation?", or "should I put more into my pension?" have no quick, reliable answer available to them.
We built SalaryCalculator.org.uk to change that. Every calculator on this site runs the full UK PAYE tax engine — income tax with personal allowance tapering, all National Insurance bands, every student loan plan, Scottish income tax rates — entirely in your browser, using rates updated each April when HMRC publishes the new tax year figures.
The results are as accurate as a manual calculation. Where we present estimates (such as the contractor calculator), we say so clearly and explain the assumptions used.
What makes us different
Our calculators
We cover the full range of UK income, payroll and entitlement questions across 23 calculators:
Accuracy and limitations
Our calculators implement the standard HMRC PAYE rules for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. They do not account for blind person's allowance, marriage allowance transfers, complex pension situations, or non-standard tax codes. Results are for guidance only and should not be treated as formal tax advice.
If you believe a figure is incorrect, please get in touch. We take accuracy seriously and will investigate any reported discrepancy.
